I don't know the name of this one, but it's a small local place I found in a Chiba walking tours book. It's well used, when I was looking, a guy walked up with his soap and towel and popped in for a bath. I'd love to try going to one of these places.
A friend who lives in another town goes to a local sentou, one where the Yakuza also go. Many of the sentous that you see have a no tattoo rule posted outside, to keep the Yakuza away, but many also depend on their business. I guess Yakuza like the sentou because they like anything traditional, and the bathhouse is very traditional. Anyway, my friend lives beside a Yakuza's moll, and he's seen the guy in his local place, his whole back covered in tattoos, taking a nice refreshing bath.
